Jesus appears to seven disciples. · Dec 6, 04:21 AM by Ad van den Ende

John 21, 1- 14

After this Jesus revealed himself again
to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias.
And he revealed (himself) in this way.
They were together, Simon Peter
and Thomas (called Didymus)
and Nathanael, who (was) from Cana in Galilee,
and the (sons) of Zebedee
and two other out of his disciples.

Simon Peter sais to them:
“I am going fishing.” They say him:
“We go also with you.”
They went out and got into the boat,
And in that night they caught nothing.

When it was already early in the day
Jesus stood on the beach,
but the disciples did not know
that it was Jesus.
Jesus sais to them:
Παιδία, μή τι προσφάγιον ἔχετε;
“Boys, you don’t have any additional food?”
They replied him: “No.”
He said them:
“Throw on the right side of the boat your net,
and you will find (some).”
So they threw (the net), and could no more pull it in
because of the mass of fish.

Then said the disciple
whom Jesus loved to Peter:
“It is the Lord!”
So Simon Peter,
having heard that it was the Lord,
did gird round his upper garment,
for he was naked,
and threw himself into the sea.
And the other disciples came with the boat,
for they were not far from land,
but about a two hundred fore-arms,
dragging the net with fish.

When they got out on the soil,
they see a charcoal fire ready
and a fish and bread laid on it.

Jesus sais to them:
“Bring (some) of the fish
you have now caught.”
So Simon Peter went aboard
and pulled the net to shore,
full of large fish, one hundred fifty-three,
and although there were so many
the net was not split.

 Jesus sais to them:
“Come, and eat,”
and none of the disciples dared ask him:
“You, who are you?” knowing that it was the Lord.
Jesus comes and takes the bread
and gives it to them, and the fish also.
This (was) allready the third time Jesus appeared
to the disciples, after he was raised from the dead.
