Gen 07, 11-24

11 ἐν τῷ ἑξακοσιοστῷ ἔτει
In the six-hundreth year
ἐν τῇ ζωῇ τοῦ Νωε,
in the life of Noah,
τοῦ δευτέρου μηνός,
in the second month
ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνός,
on the seven-and-twentieth of the month,
τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ
just on that day
ἐρράγησαν πᾶσαι αἱ πηγαὶ τῆς ἀβύσσου,
burst open all the outlets of the abyss,
καὶ οἱ καταρράκται τοῦ οὐρανοῦ
and the floodgates of the sky
ἠνεῴχθησαν,
were opened,

12 καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ ὑετὸς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
and rain fell on the earth
τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας
for forty days
καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας.
and forty nights.

13 ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ
On that same day
εἰσῆλθεν Νωε, Σημ, Χαμ, Ιαφεθ, υἱοὶ Νωε,
went Noah, Shem, Ham, Japheth, de zonen van Noah,
καὶ ἡ γυνὴ Νωε
and the wife of Noah
καὶ αἱ τρεῖς γυναῖκες τῶν υἱῶν αὐτοῦ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ
and the three wives of his sons with him
εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν.
into the boat.

14 καὶ πάντα τὰ θηρία κατὰ γένος
And all the wild animals according to race,
καὶ πάντα τὰ κτήνη κατὰ γένος
and all domestic animals according to race,
καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν
and every reptile
κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς κατὰ γένος
moving on the earth, according to race,
καὶ πᾶν πετεινὸν κατὰ γένος
and every bird, according to race,
15 εἰσῆλθον πρὸς Νωε εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν,
went with Noah into the boat,
δύο δύο ἀπὸ πάσης σαρκός,
two by two out of all flesh
ἐν ᾧ ἐστιν πνεῦμα ζωῆς.
in which is the breath of life.

16 καὶ τὰ εἰσπορευόμενα
And they who entered,
ἄρσεν καὶ θῆλυ
as male and female
ἀπὸ πάσης σαρκὸς εἰσῆλθεν,
out of all living beings they entered,
καθὰ ἐνετείλατο ὁ θεὸς τῷ Νωε.
as God had commanded to Noah.
καὶ ἔκλεισεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἔξωθεν
And God the Lord shut from outside
αὐτοῦ τὴν κιβωτόν.
at once the boat.

17 Καὶ ἐγένετο ὁ κατακλυσμὸς
And the flood continued
τεσσαράκοντα ἡμέρας
for forty days
καὶ τεσσαράκοντα νύκτας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς,
and forty nights on the earth,
καὶ ἐπληθύνθη τὸ ὕδωρ
and the water did swell
καὶ ἐπῆρεν τὴν κιβωτόν,
and lifted up the boat,
καὶ ὑψώθη ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς.
and it was raised from the earth.

18 καὶ ἐπεκράτει τὸ ὕδωρ
And the water prevailed
καὶ ἐπληθύνετο σφόδρα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς,
and did swell extremely on the earth,
καὶ ἐπεφέρετο ἡ κιβωτὸς
and the boat was lifted
ἐπάνω τοῦ ὕδατος.
above the water.

19 τὸ δὲ ὕδωρ ἐπεκράτει
The water prevailed
σφόδρα σφοδρῶς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
extremely on the earth
καὶ ἐπεκάλυψεν πάντα τὰ ὄρη τὰ ὑψηλά,
and covered all the high mountains
ἃ ἦν ὑποκάτω τοῦ οὐρανοῦ·
which were under the heaven.

20 δέκα πέντε πήχεις ἐπάνω
Fifteen fore-arms high
ὑψώθη τὸ ὕδωρ
the water was raised,
καὶ ἐπεκάλυψεν πάντα τὰ ὄρη τὰ ὑψηλά.
and it covered all the high mountains.

21 καὶ ἀπέθανεν πᾶσα σὰρξ
And all flesh died
κινουμένη ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
that moves on the earth
τῶν πετεινῶν
of the birds
καὶ τῶν κτηνῶν
and of the domestic animals
καὶ τῶν θηρίων
and of the wild animals
καὶ πᾶν ἑρπετὸν
en elk reptiel
κινούμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
that moves on the earth
καὶ πᾶς ἄνθρωπος.
and every man.

22 καὶ πάντα, ὅσα ἔχει πνοὴν ζωῆς,
And all that has breath of life,
καὶ πᾶς, ὃς ἦν ἐπὶ τῆς ξηρᾶς, ἀπέθανεν.
and every one who was on the dry land, died.

23 καὶ ἐξήλειψεν πᾶν τὸ ἀνάστημα,
And every living beiing died,
ὃ ἦν ἐπὶ προσώπου πάσης τῆς γῆς,
which was on the face of the whole earth,
ἀπὸ ἀνθρώπου ἕως κτήνους
from man to animals
καὶ ἑρπετῶν καὶ τῶν πετεινῶν τοῦ οὐρανοῦ,
and reptiles and the birds of the heaven,
καὶ ἐξηλείφθησαν ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς·
and they were destroyed from the earth;
καὶ κατελείφθη μόνος Νωε
and Noah alone was left
καὶ οἱ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ κιβωτῷ.
and those with him in the boat.

24 καὶ ὑψώθη τὸ ὕδωρ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς
And the water did raise on the earth
ἡμέρας ἑκατὸν πεντήκοντα.
for hundred and fifty days.
